I was writing a LONG E-Mail Last Night, and after finishing...I Hit SEND!
The screen Pops Up and Says....It's Been 68 Minutes since you Logged in, and Now You Need To Login Again.
So I did...but the e-mail I had written was gone..so I hit The Back Button a few times, and found it..so I Hit SEND Again, it said That I need to Login Again! So I did....Empty E-mail screen again!

My ?...It's Gone Now, so I'm going To Have To Re-Write The Whole Thing?
If this ever happens agin in The Future...what can I do..?
And why was I automatically LOGGED OFF after 68 Minutes?

Thanks In Advance--MR. NW

First, it's been less than an hour...this room gets little traffic. Sometimes it takes days to get a response. Relax.

Second, what program are you using for your mail? Never heard of anything like this happening with Outlook or Eudora in regards to log-in messages.

Probably AOL, might help if you drop AOL...

Next suggestion, when writing a long email write it in Micropuke Word, then copy, paste it to the email client :realtongu

I was thinking it sounded like AOL, but I didn't want to insult anyone as to think someone is STILL using AOL for anything.

Not sure what is up with your email app, but writing it out in Notepad or Wordpad & pasting it into the email may save you from this in the future.

I'm as big a computer idiot as there is on this site BUT. Here is what you do to prevent that.
Go to your desktop screen.
Hit the right mouse button

Little box comes: up at the bottom see "properties"
Left Click on "properties"
See tab---"screen Saver" Click on that .

Then where you see a little box called "wait"---minutes. Change that to the highest setting possible or "never" and that should at least help it from happening.

Almost always write my emails in WORD and then copy to email.
There are several errors that can keep an email from being sent,
Especially if it is a form at a website.

Maybe he's like me---I don't know how to Copy and paste or how to use "word" or some of the other thing many here take for granted.

Whos....................

Thanks For Being A Computer Idiot Too.......Makes Me Feel Better!

OK, when I Do The Right Click on The Mouse...a Screen Pops Up, and Propeties is at The Bottom...but I'm Not Seeing "Screen Save"
It list The Page That I'm On....gives some...Connetion Info, Byte Size, ETC...Then at The Bottom It Says CERTIFICATES...Not Seeing Wait Minutes Anywhere.

What's The Deal? Or Do I Have To Do This From The E-Mail Page?

Don't know . Maybe it's different with each versions of Windows. Mine is XP professional. But I do know somewhere there is a setting (you can change) that keeps what you describe from happening after so many minutes.
